The Yad Rachel Parent Child Center is a comprehensive, multi- professional therapeutic center designed for children and their parents.
The center serves families experiencing difficulties
especially in the area of parenting and guided by a holistic
approach that views the child and the family as an interconnected
emotional unit. Our therapeutic model focuses on the entire family
system.
Our Unique Therapeutic Approach Yad Rachel offers assistance
that is individually suited for each family by offering the most
appropriate interventions from a wide variety of possibilities
including: psychological counseling (individual, dyadic (parent-
child), couples, group and family), and a wide range of alternative
therapies such as gardening, art and music therapy, animal
therapy, psychodrama, and more. We provide tools to strengthen
parents to empower their children for a successful future, while
struggling with all the challenges of maintaining a family in
disadvantaged areas of Israel. Our work strengthens the family
unit by promoting healthy interaction between family members.
Within Yad Rachel, we expose the children and families to
normative behavioral interactions and treat them with respect. We
insist that all interactions with our staff are based upon mutual
respect, and provide an organizational model of healthy social
dynamics. We make considerable efforts to extend a helping hand
to the parents, with whom we interact from a non-judgmental
perspective. We present our suggestions to the parents in terms,
which they can easily understand, and make them feel like they
are an integral part of the therapeutic process. Our Centers
provide a warm, safe, and secure environment for both children
and their families, in which we strive to create an atmosphere of
acceptance and belonging. We treat each child and parent as an
individual, without any preconceived notions or stereotypes.
